Our story
Grilliant started with a view out the window.
We’d put care into our outdoor space, but every time the BBQ wasn’t in use, there it was under an ugly black cover. It did its job, but it wasn’t something we wanted to look at.
We thought a BBQ cover could protect what was underneath and still feel at home in the space around it.
Making the cover we wanted to see
Making one took more work than we expected. We spoke with suppliers, compared outdoor fabrics and worked through samples to get the look and practical details right. We even visited outdoor fabric manufacturers while on holiday in Vietnam. It mattered to us that the cover felt like more than a nice pattern placed on an ordinary tarp.
The Signature Stripe Cover is our first result: soft beige and white stripes, woven outdoor fabric with a protective backing, an adjustable drawcord and a matching bag to store it in when the BBQ is in use.
We’re Jonathon and Sarah, the Melbourne couple behind Grilliant. We wanted to make a cover you’re happy to see from the house, even when the BBQ isn’t being used.
