From the woven fabric to the warm sand drawcord and stitched Grilliant badge, the details were designed to feel more like something for the home and less like outdoor equipment. Made from woven Olefin with a protective TPU inner layer for a softer fabric finish suited to outdoor use.

Fit guide

Will it fit my barbecue?

Three quick measurements to check if your barbecue is suitable.

How to measure BBQ width, height and depth. Measure depth across the widest point, including handles and knobs.
Width 162 cm

Measure from the outside edge of one shelf to the other. Include side burners and anything that projects.

Depth 63 cm

Measure the widest point from front to back with the lid closed. Include the handle, knobs and anything else that projects.

Height 108 cm

For reference only, measure from the ground to the tallest point with the lid closed.

Good to know

Height does not need to match 108 cm. On a shorter BBQ, the cover may touch the ground. On a taller BBQ, it will sit higher.

The side drawstrings help create a more tailored fit on smaller BBQs while helping reduce lifting and movement in the wind. We find the cover fits most 3 & 4 burner BBQs, while also suiting compact 5 & 6 burner models.

Melbourne outdoor living area that inspired the Grilliant BBQ cover

Our story

The idea started with the view from our living room.
So Grilliant began.

Our BBQ sits where we can see it from inside our Melbourne home. Around it were the things we loved. Outdoor furniture, greenery, pots and a striped cushion And then there was the black BBQ cover. It protected the BBQ, but every time we looked outside, it felt like the one thing that did not belong.

We kept wondering why something that spends so much time in the backyard had never been designed with the backyard in mind. So we made the BBQ cover we wanted to look at.

We could not find a BBQ cover that belonged in the backyard, so we designed one that did.

It measures 162 cm wide, 108 cm high and 63 cm deep.

Drawcords on each side allow you to bring the cover in for a neater fit on slightly smaller BBQs.

What is the cover made from?

The Signature Stripe Cover is made from woven Olefin with a protective TPU inner layer.

We chose Olefin because it gives the cover a softer, more fabric like appearance while still being suitable for outdoor use. The fabric is weather resistant, UV resistant and designed for everyday Australian conditions.

The result is a BBQ cover that protects your BBQ without looking like traditional outdoor equipment.

Will it protect my BBQ from the weather?

Yes. The cover has been designed to help protect your BBQ from everyday rain, sun, dust and outdoor exposure.

Will you be releasing other sizes or colours?

For our first release, we are keeping things simple with one size and our signature beige and white stripe.

We want to get this first cover right before deciding what comes next.
